Jet grouting methods are used to form a first plurality of parallel primary columns (P) which are spaced apart from each other and which are positioned with a spacing between them according to a predetermined reticular layout. A second set of secondary columnar blocks (S) is then formed, each of these blocks being interposed between and securely joining two consecutive primary blocks (P), thus providing at least one closed ring structure composed of a sequence of primary blocks alternating with secondary blocks which surround at least one central portion of soil. Finally, a tertiary columnar block (T) is formed in this central portion to securely join the surrounding primary (P) and secondary (S) blocks. These operations are repeated to produce a monolithic underground artificial conglomerate structure.

Described herein is a pump for digging equipment for the construction of diaphragms, in which: the equipment envisages in its end part drums (10 and 11), provided with bits (12) mounted so that they rotate on their own axes (A); and the drums are carried by a top frame (13), mounted within which, in the proximity of the drums, is a centrifugal pump (14). The pump (14) is positioned in such a way that its axis (15) comes to lie in a substantially horizontal plane, parallel to the plane passing through the axes (A) of the bits (12) and is oriented at an angle of between 30° and 60° with respect to the sides of the rectangular section of the excavation, whilst the maximum diameter of the pump and its motor fall within the thickness of the frame (13).

A multi-layered device provides a medium for of remedial substances such as waterproofing resins or cements, insecticides, mold preventatives, rust retardants and the like. The multi-layer device preferably consists of three conjoined layers: first layer, intermediate layer, and second layer, and at least one piping. The first layer is preferably semi-permeable; the second layer is a non-permeable layer; the intermediate layer is a void-inducing layer. The second layer, intermediate layer, and first layer are fixedly attached, with the intermediate layer interposed between the second layer and the first layer. The multi-layered device is fixedly attached to shoring system exterior surface. At least one piping is engagedly attached to a panel of the multi-layered device. A structural construction material is constructed exterior the multi-layer device. Thereafter, a free flowing substance can be pumped to the multi-layered device.

The invention relates to a method to build a continuous, water seal, creep-line increasing cutoff, the method comprises a first step of forming boring (21,22,23,...2n+1) into the soil (1) under protection of gap-slush and developing narrow slots (31,32,33,...3n) therebetween by blowing the cutting edges secured to the bottom of foil boards (41,42,43,...4n), and a second step of connecting the connecting elements (5a,5b) of foil boards(41,42,43,...4n) recessing into the borings (21,22,23,...2n+1) by means of compensating joint-pins (61,62,63,...6n-1, and 61',62',63'...) and repeating the latter operation up to the last boring (2n+1). In a preferred embodiment of the invention, might be set an armouring into the borings (21,22,23,...2n+1), then injected concrete in the place of the gap-slush.

A process for the improvement of organic soils and soils of substantial clay content comprises in situ mixing of lime and optionally at least one other stabilising additive into selected linear zones of the soil. The linear zones are of uniform, preferably rectangular, cross-section and will usually be straight but may sometimes be curved, e.g., to follow the route of a road, and are preferably uniformly spaced apart. Suitable stabilising secondary additives include hydraulic cements, furnace slag and pulverised fly ash (pfa).
