Each of the structural members extends between first and second ends and has first and second edges. The apparatus comprises a ridged member extending between first and second ends and having a length sufficient to extend between two adjacent structural members. Each socket has a central axis therethrough and is formed of a base panel and first and second side panels. A full-length beam assembly includes a full-length beam having upper and lower flanges and an end portion received between the gusset plates. A connecting member is operatively attached by welding to at least one of the flanges of the full-length beam. The connecting member is bolted to at least one of the gusset plates of the column assembly to connect the full-length beam assembly to the column assembly.

The invention relates to a prefabricated structural element comprising an elongate body (11) and at least one first tensioner (1) that is attached in the elongate body such that it compresses the elongate body. According to the invention, the structural element comprises at least one second tensioner (2) that is attached at two separate points to said elongate body by two attachment means so that it compresses the elongate body. At least one of said attachment means is removable so as to make it possible to relax the compression exerted by the second tensioner on the elongate body.
