Die Wellendichtung ist auf der den Pumpenzahnrädern (16A, 16B) zugewandten Innenseite des von dem Antriebsdrehzapfen (18A) durchdrungenen ersten Gehäusedeckels (14A) in einer zahnradseitigen Aussparung (24) des Gehäusedeckels (14A) angeordnet. Erfindungsgemäß ist diese Aussparung dabei mit einer auf der dem Pumpenraum zugewandten Seite angeordneten Vorkammer (24A) versehen, wodurch die Wellendichtung (26) mit ständig sich austauschendem zu pumpendem Fluid versorgbar ist.
