    摘要: The present invention concerns a paper dispenser comprising a housing holding at least one paper supply and a dispensing mechanism (1) within said housing, the dispensing mechanism (1) having a rotatable dispensing drum. The dispenser further comprises a turn knob (3) coupled with the dispensing drum, the turn knob (3) having an inner hub (3a), and a wrap-spring clutch (2) wrapped around the inner hub (3a). The wrap-spring clutch (2) has a first arm (2a) extending from it and being attached to a stationary point (1a) for causing the wrap-spring clutch (2) to slightly unwind when the turn knob is (3) rotated in the first direction. Characteristically of the invention, the wrap-spring clutch (2) comprises a second arm (2b) extending from it, while a stopper (1b) is located in the second arm's (2b) rotational travel path in a second rotation direction for enabling the turn knob (3) to be rotated in the second direction against a limited braking force.

    摘要: A compound disc brake comprises a pair of pressure plates (7,11) with a ball and ramp camming mechanism, one of the plates comprises a driven plate (7) keyed to a rotating axle shaft (5) to be braked, and the other plate comprises a servo plate (11) carried from the driven plate by the camming mechanism. The servo plate (11) has a torque-transmitting means in the form of a separate annular disc (20) keyed to the outer peripheral edge of the servo plate. The torque-transmitting means (20) transmits torque applied to that region by primary braking means (23; 50) to the central region of the servo plate. Retardation of the servo plate by the primary braking means causes the pressure plates to separate axially and move into engagement with relatively stationary braking surfaces (2,3) in the brake housing 1 whereafter servo braking occurs. The brake includes a mechanically operable parking brake which acts on the torque-transmitting means (20) and comprises an annular ring (40;50) concentric with the shaft (5) and having camming means to produce axial movement when it is moved angularly by an arm (43;55) extending through a circumferential slot (44). The annular ring of the parking brake may comprise a hydraulic annular piston (50) which is also used for normal service braking, or may be a separate ring (40).

Various multi-plate embodiments are disclosed, including embodiments in which the torque-transmitting mechanism (16) is a separate annular disc (31, 60, 73) keyed to the outer peripheral edge (15) of the servo plate.
