Abstract: A lighting device has at least two lighting strips, which are slidable relative to each other and overlap in a region of overlap so that the overall length may be adjusted. The combined light intensity per unit length of the lighting strips in the region of overlap corresponds to the light intensity per unit length of the first and second lighting strips outside the region of overlap.. This arrangement makes sure the combined light output in the region of overlap is the same as where the lighting strips do not overlap. In this way, the overall device is reversibly and repeatedly extendable and retractable and maintains a relatively constant light output per unit length.

Abstract: A light-emitting diode (LED) reflector optic (24) comprises a reflector having a plurality of reflecting surfaces (32). The reflector (28) is associated with at least one optical axis (36). In one embodiment, the at least one LED comprises a plurality of LEDs, the at least one optical axis comprises a plurality of optical axes, and each of the plurality of LEDs is angled relative to a respective one of the plurality of optical axes at about 90°. In one embodiment, a plurality of linear extrusion axes are angled relative to each other.

Erfindungsgemäß sind die Reflektorschalen jeweils dazu ausgebildet, eine der jeweiligen Reflektorschale zugewandte Wandfläche nur mit reflektiertem Indirektlicht zu bestrahlen, während ein unreflektierter Direktlichtanteil des Strahlenbündels auf eine gegenüberliegende Wandfläche, von der die Reflektorschale abgewandt ist, und/oder auf den Boden begrenzt ist, wobei das Strahlenbündel in einer Längsebene senkrecht zur Hauptabstrahlrichtung der Lichtquelle einen Bereich von 2 x 20° bis 2 x 60° bestrahlt.
