摘要: A system for supplying compressed gas to several gas-fed devices is based on a liquid piston gas multistage compressor (100). Gas pressure measurements performed at a gas intake (10), an intermediate gas outlet (20) and at an end gas outlet (30) of the system allow controlling respective gas capacities of the compressor stages. Easy and reliable control can thus be obtained for the system operation. Varying the number of the compressor stages allows matching any pressure requirements for the gas delivery to all the gas-fed devices, and varying the gas capacities of the compressor stages allows easy adaptation to variable gas consumptions of the gas-fed devices.

摘要: A method of producing liquefied natural gas (LNG) is disclosed. A natural gas stream is provided from a supply of natural gas. The natural gas stream is compressed in at least two serially arranged compressors to a pressure of at least 2,000 psia to form a compressed natural gas stream. The compressed natural gas stream is cooled to form a cooled compressed natural gas stream. The cooled compressed natural gas stream is expanded in at least one work producing natural gas expander to a pressure that is less than 3,000 psia and no greater than the pressure to which the at least two serially arranged compressors compress the natural gas stream, to thereby form a chilled natural gas stream. The chilled natural gas stream is liquefied.

摘要: The current invention is related to hydrocarbon fluid processing plants, methods of designing hydrocarbon fluid processing plants, methods of operating hydrocarbon fluid processing plants, and methods of producing hydrocarbon fluids using hydrocarbon fluid processing plants. More particularly, some embodiments of the invention are related to natural gas liquefaction plants, methods of designing natural gas liquefaction plants, methods of operating natural gas liquefaction plants and methods of producing LNG using natural gas liquefaction plants. One embodiment of the invention includes a hydrocarbon fluid processing plant including a plurality of process unit module types, the plurality of process unit module types including at least a first process unit module type including one or more first process unit modules and a second process unit module type including two or more integrated second process unit modules wherein at least one of the first process unit modules and at least one of the second process unit modules are sized at their respective substantially maximum processing efficiency.

摘要: A method and installation for refrigerating a same application (1) by means of several refrigerators/liquefiers (L/R) arranged in parallel, the parallel refrigerators/liquefiers (L/R) using a working gas of the same type having a low molar mass, i.e. having an average overall molar mass lower than 10g/mol such as pure helium gas, each refrigerator/liquefier (L/R) comprising a compression station (2) to compress the working gas, a cold box (3) intended to cool the working gas coming out of the compression station (2), the working gas cooled by each of the respective cold boxes (3) of the refrigerators/liquefiers (L, R) being brought into heat exchange with the application (1) with a view to supplying frigories to the latter, in which, a single compression station (2) compresses the working gas for each of the respective separate cold boxes (3) of the refrigerators/liquefiers (L, R) arranged in parallel, the single compression station (2) comprising only compression machines of the lubricated screw type (EC1, EC2, EC3) and systems (4, 14) for removing the oil from the working fluid coming out of the compression machines (EC1, EC2, EC3), such that the compression machines (EC1, EC2, EC3) and the oil removal systems (4, 14) are shared by the refrigerators/liquefiers (L/R) arranged in parallel.

摘要: First and second multi-phase streams are processed in first and second trains that are structurally different from each other such that the first and second trains have different operating conditions. The first and second trains produce first and second gaseous hydrocarbon streams and first and second liquid hydrocarbon component streams. The first and second gaseous hydrocarbon streams are combined downstream of the first and second trains to provide a combined gaseous hydrocarbon component stream.
