The invention relates to a system for adding molten lithium and an inert gas in a melt of molten aluminium or aluminium alloy in a holding furnace, the system comprising, a crucible defining a chamber for melting and storage of molten metal, in particular molten lithium; the crucible being equipped with a sealed lid; an inert gas delivery system arranged for maintaining an overpressure in the chamber of the crucible using an inert gas; a conduit for withdrawing a portion of the molten metal from the crucible, and the conduit being movably arranged with respect to the crucible or the sealed lid such that the conduit inlet can be controllably moved below and above the surface level of the molten metal, and wherein the conduit is arranged for feeding of the molten metal from the crucible to a separate molten metal holding furnace with the help of an overpressure when the conduit inlet is below the surface level of the molten metal and the conduit is further arranged for feeding of the inert gas from the crucible to the separate molten metal holding furnace when the conduit inlet is above the surface level of the molten metal.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum kontinuierlichen Schmelzen anorganischer Salze. Das Verfahren umfasst die folgenden Verfahrensschritte: fortlaufende Zufuhr von festen Salzen über eine Zuführeinheit in einen Ofen (2), Erhitzen der Salze in dem Ofen (2) und Generierung einer Strömung der Salze im Ofen (2) mittels einer Umwälzeinheit. Dabei wird mittels der Strömung ein Zwei-Phasen-Bereich aus festem und geschmolzenem Salz und ein davon getrennter zweiter Bereich von einer auf eine Erwärmungstemperatur erhitzter Schmelze erzeugt. Parallel zur Zufuhr der festen Salze erfolgt mittels einer Entnahmeeinheit die Ausleitung von Schmelze aus dem zweiten Bereich. Weiterhin betrifft die Erfindung eine Ofenanlage zur Durchführung des Verfahrens.

An apparatus for a heating treatment which has an apparatus body (10) having a burning chamber (13), a burner (20) for supplying a heated gas to the burning chamber (13), a flue for discharging a combustion gas generated in the burning chamber (13) to the outside thereof, and a heating vessel (15) being placed in the burning chamber (13), wherein the heating vessel (15) has a bottom portion and an open port in the upper portion thereof, the open port may be opened and may be closed with a lid (16), and a communication section (153) is formed for communicating with the upper portion of the burning chamber (13) in the case of the closure of the lid (16). The above apparatus for a heating treatment allows the gas discharged during the treatment to be maintained clean, and also allows the recovery of a valuable metal contained in a waste with good efficiency.

- movable hood means (11) fitted to and solidly fixed to crane or bridge crane means (14), - stationary aspiration duct means (13), - means for momentary connection of the movable hood means (11) to the stationary aspiration duct means (13), - at least one opening which allows the passage of a trolley (15) of the bridge crane (14) and is comprised in the movable hood means (11), and - means (16-17) for the momentary closure of such opening, the improvements being such that the momentary connection means include at least stationary exhaust collector means (12) for independent collection of fumes when the movable hood means (11) move away, and that the exhaust collector means (12) comprise an opening having a plan section at least equal to the section of the top opening in the movable hood means (11) and cooperate momentarily with the latter (11), and that the exhaust collector means (12) constitute the plurality of the top portion of the hoods (10) which aspirate secondary fumes.

There are provided a method of melting conductive metal and a melting furnace of which power consumption is low, heat to be generated is small, and maintenance is easy, and which are not easily affected by heat. The method comprising: making direct current flow vertically between a first electrode, which is provided so as to be exposed to an inner surface of a melting chamber of a melting furnace body receiving conductive molten metal, and a second electrode, which is provided so as to be exposed to the inner surface of the melting chamber of the melting furnace body and which is provided below the first electrode, through conductive molten metal received in the melting chamber; applying a magnetic field radially toward the center of the melting chamber from the outside of the melting furnace or toward the outside of the melting furnace from the center of the melting chamber to apply torque, which is generated around a vertical axis, to the molten metal, which is present in the melting chamber, by an electromagnetic force caused by the intersection of the direct current and the magnetic field; and rotating the molten metal by the torque to discharge the molten metal to a holding furnace, which is provided on the melting chamber, from an outlet opening of a partition plate provided between the melting chamber and the holding furnace and to suck the molten metal, which is present in the holding furnace, from an inlet opening of the partition plate.
