摘要: A mobile removable hearth skid (200) for a furnace (100) and/or cooling chamber including: a base (202), the base (202) including a top horizontal surface (204) with a supporting, a refractory platform (208) which possesses a perimeter edge including a front perimeter edge, a rear perimeter edge (214), and at least two side perimeter edges (212). The rear perimeter edge (214) and the at least two side perimeter edges (212) form a continuous shoulder (216) extending beyond the base perimeter edge. Also disclosed is a furnace (100) and/or cooling chamber including a refractory lining (120) with a continuous ledge (122) at the bottom edges of the refractory linings (120) mounted on the rear wall (118) and the at least two side walls (116). A gap (126) is formed by the furnace supports (206) between a bottom surface of the ledge and a surface supporting the furnace supports (206). The shoulder and ledge form a removable refractory seal.

摘要: The present invention improves the strength of the bottom (net) of the jig and makes it more difficult and unlikely for deviation of the mesh to occur.
A workpiece is loaded on the net (2) of the heat treat furnace jig (hereinafter, heat treatment furnace jig). In the net (2), a first strand (10), a second strand (20) and a third strand (30) are in contact at a contact point (X1). Near the contact point (X1), the second strand (20) overlaps the first strand (10) from above and the third strand (30) overlaps the first strand (10) from below. As a result, the first strand (10) is held between the second strand (20) and the third strand (30) in the up/down directions.

摘要: A heat insulation system for fluid carrying furnace pipes, wherein a plurality of pairs of shell parts (22a, 22b) are adapted to be fitted around a pipe to be insulated. The shell parts (22a, 22b) are fabricated from a vacuum formed ceramic fibre material and the two shell parts (22a, 22b) in each pair are connected together mechanically by a coupling means (36) which enables each of the shell parts to be releasable individually from an operational position on the pipe.

摘要: The invention provides an insulation sheath for a pipe in a furnace. Such sheaths require excellent insulation properties together with adequate resistance to the corrosive environment and thermal shock conditions.
The invention sheath is a pre-formed, substantially C-shaped, elongate member shaped to conform to the pipe over a portion of its circumference, the member (13) comprising an inner layer (4) of bonded insulating material, the inner layer (4) being integrally-bonded to a protective outer layer (12) of refractory material.
Inner layer (4) is preferably formed of bonded ceramic fibre.

摘要: A billet heating furnace of the enclosed skid type comprises a feed mechanism (47) for regularly adding to and pushing a row of billets along a skid (31) extending through a furnace chamber (22) which is formed by a lower section (1) and an upper section (2) hinged to the lower section so that the chamber can be opened and closed. The furnace is heated by at least one high velocity premix gas burner (28) mounted in the upper section of the furnace chamber and controlled so as to raise and maintain an operating temperature in the chamber which is higher than the melting temperature of the billets and which is effective to raise the temperature of the billets passing through the furnace chamber to a suitable stamping temperature. At the outlet end of the furnace chamber the heated billets move onto a delivery path (55, 56, 57) for passage to a press. Along this path there is a billet detector (58 to 63) which responds to any interruption of the regular passage of billets to shut down the burners. The furnace chamber (22) is lined with ceramic fibre material (21) having a low thermal mass such that, if the burners (28) are shut down and there are billets stationary in the furnace chamber, the temperature in the chamber will fall I to below the melting temperature of the billets before the temperature of the billets can rise to the melting tempera- , ture. At the same time as the burners are shut down, a slide (64) in the delivery path (65) is opened so that any billets subsequently leaving the furnace chamber will be directed down a reject chute (66) until the furnace operator decides that the feed to the press is ready to be recommenced.

摘要: Refractory coating for pipes, cooled by water or other cooling fluids, forming the structure of furnaces for heating bars, pipes or steel sheets. Said coating is made of a metallic structure (steel sheet or wire net) and an additived, prefabricated concrete, characterised by a low thermal conductivity. Said additive can be similar to that one described and claimed in the Italian patent No. 01243638. In order to further reduce the thermal coefficient, between the steel sheet and the concrete, a thin layer of ceramic fiber and/or other suitable material (e.g. insulating concreted can be inserted. Finally, the invention, in different practice examples, also solves the problem of the coating anchorage to the pipes.

摘要: An improved furnace support member including a hollow structural member with an insulator 12 having segments 16 fitting tightly on the structural memberwith longitudinal abutting edges 22, 24 interrupted by a recess 26, 28. Fastening means 14 including anchor bands 30 are secured in the segments and have tabs 32 extending outward in the recesses, and means 36 for retaining the tabs which are deformed to secure the insulator on the structural member.
