A separating wall (430) is situated between the steam chamber (440) and mixing chamber (442), whereby a plurality of nozzle bores which are arranged (432) in the separating wall (430) are provided for the accelerated entry of the steam into the mixing chamber (442). A fine-meshed structure (434) configured on the side of the separating wall (430) which faces the mixing chamber (442) at least in the area of the nozzle bores (432) is provided in order to reduce the exiting steam bubbles which are accelerated in the nozzle bores. The number of nozzle bore holes (432) and the diameters thereof are designed in such a way that a steam flow rate of 100 m/s is not exceeded in the area of the nozzle bores and/or the nozzle bores (432) are at least partially arranged at varying heights when the device is in an installed state.

A bundle of heat exchanger tubes (15) extends through the vessel (14). An end part of the blow-off pipe (11) extending into the water space (12) is angularly bent and is designed as a steam distributor nozzle (18) which is arranged opposite to the bundle of heat exchanger tubes (15). The thermo-syphon effect and hence the efficiency of the apparatus are increased with this arrangement so that the amount of steam blown off can be taken up in a relatively small vessel.

    摘要: The invention provides a method for purifying steam that comprises one or more contaminants, which method comprises the steps of:
    (a) dispersing steam that comprises one or more contaminants as bubbles in a water column that is contained in a first vessel (1);
    (b) introducing a flow of water into the water column of the first vessel thereby causing water in the first vessel to flow upwards whereby condensation of the bubbles as obtained in step (a) occurs, resulting in a temperature increase of the upflowing water;
    (c) allowing the heated water so obtained to flow upward, thereby establishing a pressure drop in the water column as a result of which a water vapor-containing gas is generated, which gas is in essence free of the one or more contaminants;

    (e) collecing the water vapor-containing gas;
    (f) passing the water that comprises the one or more contaminants to a second vessel (8);
    (g) removing the one or more contaminants from the water by physical separation and/or converting the one or more contaminants into non-volatile components; and
    (h) withdrawing the water obtained in step (g) from the second vessel.
