    摘要： When documents fed by an automatic document feeder are subjected to the first copying operation, the documents are counted one by one. Alternately, the total number of documents are calculated by dividing the number of copy paper sheets sent to an inter­mediate tray, by the preset number of copies. Page entry is made in the copy paper sheets taken out from the intermediate tray, based on the total number of documents thus obtained. The total number of documents may be automatically counted. Accordingly, even though the documents are successively fed, starting from the last-page document, page entry may be made. The opera­tor is not required to manually count the total number of documents.

    摘要： A sheet processing apparatus mountable on the side of a copying machine body processes sheets discharged from. The apparatus includes a sheet supplier (30) for supplying sheets received from the copying machine body; a sheet discharger (31); a first transport route (40) connecting the sheet supplier (30) and discharger (31), and a sheet-stamping mechanism (33) disposed opposite the sheet-bearing surface of the first transport route (40). Further included is a second transport route (41), diverging from and extending below the first transport route (40), which feeds sheets to a punching mechanism (34) disposed opposite it; a transport drive (42, 43) providing controlled transport of sheets in each transport route (40, 41); and a process timing control unit. The image-formed sheets are transported along both the first and second transport routes (40, 41) wherein the stamping and punching operations are both to be carried out, and then discharged through the discharger (31). The timing of the processes is controlled according to set conditions. Transport within the reduced-dimension apparatus is such that wherein holes are punched into a sheet in the punching mechanism (34), drive in a latter-stage unit such as a sorter mounted at the discharger (31) need only be halted, a reversing capability or the like thereof thus being unnecessary.

    摘要： A device and method of forming a device in the form of an image particularly useful as a security device is disclosed wherein a magnetically aligned pigment coating upon a release layer on a first substrate on which it is coated is stamped, or example hot stamped onto another substrate or object. Multiple stamped aligned regions can be oriented differently on the other substrate or object in the form of a patch work or mosaic. For example a region of stamped aligned flakes having the flakes oriented in a North-South orientation can be stamped onto one region of an object or substrate and another region of stamped same flakes removed from a same substrate can be stamped onto a same object oriented in an E-W orientation. By first aligning and curing flakes onto a releasable substrate, these flakes can be stamped in various shapes and sizes of patches to be adhesively fixed to another substrate or object.
