The present invention includes a portable simulated watershed model (2), including a simulated body of water (4) and a simulated water pollution source (20, 21, 22, 30-37, 40, 41); a simulated water pollutant, placeable on selected portions of the model; a simulated best management practice (60-65) for pollution minimization, placeable on selected portions of the model; and a fluid dispenser (3) capable of simulating rain over the watershed model. The present invention further includes a method for simulating water pollution including providing a portable simulated watershed model, providing a simulated water pollutant, placing the simulated pollutant on selected portions of the model, providing a simulated best management practice, placing the simulated practice on selected portions of the model, and simulating rain over the model.

The present invention provides an experimental device and method for simulating dynamics of hydrocarbon generation and expulsion in geological process. The experimental device comprises a reaction system. The reaction system comprises a reactor having a sample chamber formed therein for placing a sample, a sample sleeve being arranged within the sample chamber for receiving the sample. The sample sleeve comprises a cylindrical body enclosing the sample in a circumferential direction, an outer side wall of the cylindrical body being in engagement with an inner side wall of the reactor, and the cylindrical body being perforated to form a channel for product circulation between an outer side wall of the sample and the inner side wall of the reactor.

Another characteristic is that some planes nearly perpendicular to the incidence of the ray of light from the projector (1) incorporate a rough structure, which improves the reflecting properties of those planes. In this way, the projected elements and images are successfully given in relief bringing them as close as possible to a real scenery.

A process is disclosed for creating three-dimensional figures or forms starting from any flat surface image, which includes the steps of selecting an illustration to be reproduced in three dimensions and then preparing an assistance plan for the assembly starting from the figures own, or cast, shadow. Thereafter, contour drawings are made of each piece, joining each point that defines a level, following the model's contour until arriving back at the point of departure. The design is then broken down by drawing each of the component pieces thereof individually and categorizing them and grouping them by material, texture and color; making the pieces obtained from the individual drawings, then grouping and categorizing by level each of the fabricated pieces. A base or theoretical point space is determined over which the work will be assembled; marking at level zero, or the base, the position at which level one will be placed on the base. The assembly of the three-dimensional work is then commenced with the aid of the design so created, by joining corresponding pieces of level two to level one, etc., until arriving at the last level planned.
