A portable computing device receives IOS control and monitoring data from a simulation server, displays the IOS control and monitoring data on the portable computing device, and receives a selection by a user of at least one component of the displayed IOS control and monitoring data. The selection is performed by an interaction of the user with the displayed IOS control and monitoring data. The portable computing device determines IOS filtered information related to the selected at least one component, and transmits the IOS filtered information to a destination computing device. The determination of the IOS filtered information takes into consideration destination user access rights of a destination user. The destination device may be a simulator or a portable computing device, where the destination user performs a simulation session by interacting with the simulation server.

A system is provided for real-time, in-flight simulation of a target. A sensor system may generate a live stream of an environment of an aircraft during a flight thereof, the live stream having associated metadata with structured information indicating a real-time position of the aircraft within the environment. A target generator may generate a target image from a source of information from which a plurality of different target images may be generable. The target generator may also generate a synthetic scene of the environment including the target image. A superimposition engine may then superimpose the synthetic scene onto the live stream such that the target image is spatially and temporally correlated with the real-time position of the aircraft within the environment. The live stream with superimposed synthetic scene may be output for presentation on a display of the aircraft during the flight.

The present invention relates to a system and method for inspecting and validating a flight procedure used in the field of civil aviation. The system comprises an image capturing apparatus, a storage device, a playing device, a recorder such as QAR, a data processing module and a synchronization module; the method for inspecting and validating a flight procedure applied in the system includes the following steps: collecting actual visual videos and flight parameters, generating simulation visual videos, generating over-limit alarms, processing data, generating complex simulation visual videos, generating flight trajectory and flight procedure protection area pictures, and synchronizing and playing the videos. With the application of the system and the method, the defects of the prior art can be overcome, artificial sensory factors are more avoided, the general condition of an aircraft itself at each time point during the execution of the flight procedure are accurately reflected, and objective and accurate references are provided for designers and approvers of the flight procedure.
