摘要:
To tune notes in a chord, activated notes tuned to a first scale are received A sustained chord is determined as a group of activated notes whose time of activation exceeds a threshold A chord type is determined from the group of the activated notes of the sustained chord. The chord interval positions occupied by each of the notes of the sustained chord, and the order and spread of the interval positions are determined. Selected notes of the group are retuned based on the determined chord type and order and spread of the interval positions in the chord.

A method of tuning notes in a chord comprising: receiving activated notes tuned to a first scale; determining a sustained chord as a group of activated notes whose time of activation exceeds a threshold; determining a chord type from the group of the activated notes of the sustained chord; determining the chord interval positions occupied by each of the notes of the sustained chord, and the order and spread of the interval positions; and returning selected notes of the group based on the determined chord type and order and spread of the interval positions in the chord.

Apparatus for adjusting the tuning of a musical instrument to cause the instrument to sound in just intonation while the instrument is being played comprises a data base in memory (52) for storing an array of just intonation tone identifiers (54). The tone identifiers in the array are arranged by key, chordal root and tone according to just intonation relationships defined by the ratios of a scale selected by the musician. A selector unit (20) is provided for enabling a musician to select a key (22) and/or a chordal root (24), as a result of which a CPU (48) retrieves from the array a set of tone identifiers in just intonation corresponding to the selected key or chordal root and transmits them to the sounding means of the instrument. The system may be used with electronic tone generators (42), instruments with strings (65), and organ pipes (102).
摘要:
A method of manipulating a complex waveform by considering the harmonic and partial frequencies as moving targets over time in both amplitude and frequency and adjusting the moving targets by moving modifiers in both amplitude and frequency. The manipulation of harmonic frequencies and the synthesis of harmonic frequencies are based on the harmonic rank. The modifiers move with the movement of the frequencies based on rank. Harmonic transformation modifies, by rank, the waveform from one source to a waveform of a second or target source. Harmonics and other partials accentuation identifies each of the frequencies and its relationship to adjacent frequencies as well as fixed or moving thresholds and make the appropriate adjustment. Interpolation is also disclosed as well as models which imitate natural harmonics.

A pitch-control system automatically corrects the pitch in accordance with a harmony-dependent, variable key, in particular the harmonic key, for a musical instrument having an input device for inputting note input signals in a predetermined fixed key, in particular the tempered key, and a sound-generating device to which the note input signals are applied. The pitch-control system comprises a chord-recognition circuit which determines, for each input signal pattern corresponding to a chord, whether the input signal pattern corresponds to a chord pattern in a predeterined plurality of chord patterns, a signal pattern memory circuit (34) which records a signal pattern for each chord pattern in the predetermined plurality of chord patterns, and a control circuit (32) which, when the chord recognition circuit determines that an input singal pattern corresponding to one of the predetermined chord patterns is applied, causes the signal pattern memory circuit (34) to apply the signal pattern corresponding to the chord pattern so determined to the tone-generating device (20) for generation of the chord corresponding to the variable key.

[ EP 16 163 153 ] A method for applying effects to one or more instruments tracks for a musical compilation is disclosed. The method comprises identifying a first virtual musician avatar to be associated with a first instrument track; identifying a virtual producer avatar to be associated with a plurality of first instrument tracks; applying a first series of effects to the first instrument track, the first series of effects being one of predefined sets of music characteristics represented by a visual aspects of the virtual musician avatar; and applying second series of effects in parallel to each of split first instrument tracks, the second series of effects being preconfigured effect (such as sound levels or mix matrix coefficients) sets identified by a visual aspect of the virtual producer avatar. The functions of a music studio for both recording and mastering are thus performed virtually, e.g. in a video game or in a music workstation, resulting in a music production in the real world.
