    摘要: An operation-position detector and an application thereof are configured to include a tube that allows an ultrasonic signal to propagate therethrough and to detect the operation position of an operation of an operator without the use of an electric switch.
    A tube (40) has a plurality of holes (41 a to 41 e) capable of being selectively closed or opened by an operation of an operator at its side and is provided with an ultrasonic transmitter-receiver (50) arranged at a first end thereof. A signal processor (60) drives the ultrasonic transmitter-receiver (50) and causes an ultrasonic signal to propagate through the inside of the tube (40), receives a reflection signal corresponding to a closed or open state of each of the holes (41 a to 41 e), and detects the state of each hole on the basis of the reflection signal, thereby detecting the operation position of an operation conducted by the operator.

    摘要: An electronic stringed instrument includes strings (15₁ to 15₆), a plurality of metal frets (13₁ to 13₆), an ultrasonic transmitter/receiver (16₁ to 16₆) and a fret discriminator (22). The strings are kept taut above an instrument body (11). The frets (13 i ) are arranged below the strings (15 i ) along their extension direction. When a player depresses a given string (15 i ) to be picked, at least one of the metal frets (13 i ) is brought into contact with the given string. The transmitter/receiver (16 i ) is coupled to specified positions of the strings (15 i ) and causes ultrasonic vibrations of the strings and receives an echo vibration generated as a reflection of the ultrasonic vibration at a fret contacting the given string. The fret discriminator (22) discriminates the fret contacting the string among the metal frets (13 i ) according to the time difference between the generation of the ultrasonic vibration and the receipt of the echo vibration by the transmitter/receiver (16 i ).

    摘要: A plurality of strings are extended along a surface of a body, and an operation by a player with respect to the strings is detected by two detection systems (302, 303, 304). The first detection system (205, 302) is operated when a string vibration is started, and electrically obtains an operated fret position of the string by detecting an ON/OFF operation of a switch arranged below each fret. The second detection system (110, 303, 304) is enabled after the first detection system (205, 302) is enabled, and directly measures a pitch period of the string vibration. The second detec­tion system detects (110, 303, 304) a change in pitch by a choking operation or an arming operation of a tremolo arm with respect to the string after tone generation is started.
