摘要: Methods and systems for remotely editing a video file involve: receiving, at a server, a video editing command from a remote client; modifying, at the server, a virtual representation of a media file in accordance with the received command, the virtual representation including a reference to a source media file stored on a storage device, the storage device being connected to the server over a high-speed link; and generating and transmitting, from the server to the remote client, a proxy representation of the source media file modified by the editing commands, wherein the various regions of the proxy representation are rendered either in the background or in real-time according to their complexity. Rendered frames, whether generated in the background or in real time, are stored for reuse. Individual frames of the edited video file may be transmitted upon request from a client. Simultaneous editing of independent projects by multiple users connected to the server via multiple thin clients is supported.

摘要: Physiological cues, such as elevated heart or respiratory rates can be masked from video of a person before the video is sent to another party. The masking of human-perceptible and non-human-perceptible physiological cues removes information from the video that another party could use to determine the person's emotional state. For example, variations in a person's skin color that are typically imperceptible to the human eye and from which a person's heart rate can be detected, can be removed or altered so that another party viewing the video cannot determine the person's actual heart rate in an attempt to determine the person's emotional state, even if they are performing computer analysis on the video. The presence of some physiological cues can be determined by detecting that a physiological measure is above a specified physiological measure threshold. Modified video can have the characteristic that physiological cues are substantially absent in the modified video or that physiological measures extracted from the modified video have a value below an associated physiological measure threshold.

摘要: Systems and methods for automatically generating a playlist of series assets and systems and methods for grouping assets of a playlist in clusters are provided. In one embodiment, series assets may automatically be included into a playlist for that series. In another embodiment, an interactive media guidance application may group assets in clusters based on one or more user selected parameters or may group assets in cluster based on automatically determined parameters. In yet another embodiment, the interactive media guidance application may group assets in clusters and display at least one identifier in connection with each cluster to indicate a basis for forming the cluster. The identifier may be a key word or catch phrase that succinctly identifies a trait or characteristic of assets in a particular cluster associated with the identifier.

摘要: Method of contiguously recording a sequence of ordered A/V information signals, such as video/audio information, and corresponding management information signals, such as video management, menu information or file information, on a disc-like recording medium of the write-once type, such as an optically recordable and readable disc. The recorded information complies to the requirements of ordering of such information as defined by a disc of the read-only type or of the rewritable type. The method comprises allocating a reserved area within a linear addressing space of the disc, contiguously recording the A/V information signals in a video recording area located succeeding the reserved area, recording corresponding management data in a temporary overview space succeeding the video recording area, generating a mapping table for mapping the recorded management data to address locations in the reserved area and recording the mapping table in the temporary overview space. When finalizing the disc, the recorded management information signals is copied to the reserved area in correspondence to the latest mapping table information and the remaining unrecorded sections of the reserved area is recorded with arbitrary data signals.
