The present invention provides a boosting transformer for microwave oven, which is low in high-frequency loss, hardly saturated, small in size and easy to produce. The boosting transformer includes a rod-like ferrite core; and primary, secondary and heater windings wound around the rod-like ferrite core and piled up side by side in a direction of an axis of the rod-like ferrite core. It also incldues a metal core formed from a long metal thin plate rolled by a plurality of times into a square-ring having one inner diameter larger than each of outer sizes of the primary, secondary and heater windings and the other inner diameter larger than a total size of the three windings piled up side by side, the metal core being arranged opposite to the rod-like ferrite core through a gap so as to be fitted toward the rod-like ferrite core from the outside of the primary, secondary and heater windings.

Based on an oscillation ON/OFF signal and an output state instruction signal output to a high-voltage generating circuit (101) from a power supply control apparatus (301), heater voltage applied from a heater circuit (201) to a heater of a magnetron (2) is controlled depending on whether the magnetron (2) is stopped from oscillating or is continuously or intermittently operating. The heater voltage of the magnetron (2) measured during the intermittent operation is controlled to be higher than that measured during the continuous output and to be lower than that measured while the oscillation is stopped, thereby reducing the change in temperature of the heater and providing a lower limit temperature at which the magnetron (2) can oscillate stably. This configuration increases the service life of the magnetron (2) used for a microwave excitation laser.

Es wird ein Schaltnetzteil zum Betreiben von Magnetrons in Mikrowellenöfen beschrieben, das eine quasi stetige Regelung der Leistung bei höherem Wirkungsgrad erlaubt. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, daß die impulsförmige Stromauskopplung durch zwei antiparallele Klemmschaltungen LH1, CM1, DK1; LH2, CM2, DK2) so arbeitet, daß in der Durchflußphasenzeit die erste den zugehörigen Klemmkondensator (CM1) auflädt, während die zweite Klemmschaltung die Energie an das Magnetron M abgibt, und daß in der darauffolgenden Sperrphasenzeit die erste Klemmschaltung Energie an das Magnetron M abgibt, während die zweite Klemmschaltung den zugehörigen Klemmkondensator (CM2) auflädt.
