An apparatus, system, and method for detecting an intoxicated driver of a vehicle and preventing operation of the vehicle are presented. In one embodiment, a detector module comprises a sensor that produces an electrical signal corresponding to a predetermined blood alcohol content of the driver. The blood alcohol content of the driver is determined by sampling the alcohol content of the air within a predetermined vehicle zone. A control module is coupled to the detector module to control at least one vehicle operations in response to the electrical signal from the detector module. In another embodiment, a cell phone contains the detector module and is wirelessly coupled to the control module. A vehicle status module is included in some embodiments.

Die Erfindung betrifft allgemein das Gebiet der Kommunikationstechnik. Im Speziellen bezieht sich die vorliegende Erfindung auf ein Verfahren zum Unterdrücken einer Funkübertragung in einem zellulären Funknetz in einem vorgegebenen Gebiet (BE). Dabei wird die Funkübertragung im vorgegebenen Gebiet (BE) von Signalen (S) durch ein Störsignal (ST) eines Störsenders (SE) behindert. Vom Störsender (SE) wird zuerst ein Signal (S), welches von einer Funkstation (BS) des zellulären Funknetzes zu einer Mobileinheit (ME) übertragen wird, empfangen (1) und das empfangene Signal (S) verstärkt (2). Aus dem empfangenen Signal (S) wird dann vom Störsender (SE) mittels Modifikation das Störsignal (ST) generiert, wobei bei der Modifikation das Störsignal (ST) durch eine Zeitverzögerung von zumindest einem Teil des empfangenen Signals (S) abgeleitet wird (2). Dann wird zumindest eine Version des zeitverzögerten empfangenen Signals (S) als Störsignal (ST) vom Störsender (SE) ausgesendet (3). Durch das gegenüber dem empfangenen Signal (S) zeitverzögerte Störsignal (ST) wird es für die Mobileinheit (ME) sehr schwierig einen korrekten Empfangskanal abzuschätzen (4) und das von der Funkstation ausgesendete Signal (S) kann nicht mehr empfangen werden (4). Damit wird auf einfache und kostengünstige Weise eine Funkübertragung in einem vorgegebenen Gebiet (BE) (z.B. Besprechungsräumen, Spitälern, etc.) unterbunden.
