    摘要: Electronic document design systems and methods allowing a user engaged in customizing an electronic product to re-crop product images in a manner that is compatible with the product layout. Upon selection of an image area in the product design, the user can choose to re-crop the image currently displayed in the image area or to select and crop a different image to be used in the selected image area. A cropping indicator that can be resized and repositioned is provided to the user. The cropping indicator is automatically sized to have and retain the same height to width ratio as the selected image area. Upon completion of any resizing or repositioning operation, the selected image area of the electronic product is updated to reflect the cropping changes made by the user.

An image reading device including a reading unit which reads an image of a business form, the image reading device includes a skew angle calculation unit which calculates a skew angle used for correcting inclination of the business form according to image data of the image read by the reading unit, a circumscribed region detection unit which generates an image after a first skew correction obtained by rotating the image according to the skew angle, scans the generated image after the first skew correction, and thus detects a circumscribed quadrangle circumscribed around the image ofthe business form and included in the image after the first skew correction, and an image cutout unit which cuts out a business-form image after cutout from the image read by the reading unit, according to coordinates of four corner points of the circumscribed quadrangle.

    摘要: Virtual straight lines (L1-L4) are parallelly shifted at regular intervals from starting points, which are four vertexes of a rectangular-shaped captured image, toward the center of the captured image, the virtual straight lines being tilted at an angle of a predetermined degree with respect to coordinate axes extending along two mutually orthogonally intersecting edges of the captured image. While doing so, intersection points between the virtual straight lines and outline elements are obtained. Based on the intersection points, angular points (Ca0, Cb0, Cc0, Cd0) of a contour of a document is obtained. Based on the angular points, a mesh model is generated.
