摘要： An apparatus, a method and a computer program product for video coding are provided including selecting an encoding method from a set of encoding methods comprising at least a first encoding method and a second encoding method for encoding a block of pixels of an image; selecting at least one control point among the pixels of the block of pixels, wherein the control pixel is selected from any pixel of the block of pixels; and selecting a first reference point different from the control point; determining values of the other pixels of the selected block of pixels on the basis of the value of the control point and the value of the at least one reference point.

摘要： The invention relates to a method for determining a sequence of values for a coding parameter of a hybrid coding scheme for every frame of a frame sequence for use in the coding of the frame sequence by means of the hybrid coding scheme. The hybrid coding scheme allows to determine resulting distortions and compression rates for the frames of the frame sequence if the frame sequence is completely coded and if a genuine partial sequence of the frame sequence is incompletely coded, in such a manner that a genuine subset of the set of distortions and compression rates such as they can be obtained by coding using possible sequences of predetermined values for the coding parameter for every frame. Estimated distortions and compression rates for frames of the frame sequence are determined (202) and the sequence of values for the coding parameter of the hybrid coding scheme is determined based on the resulting and estimated distortions and compression rates previously determined.
