According to the present invention, there is provided a vertically engaging slider made of metal, which is suitable for the industrial production. The front end wall (109) of the slider according to the present invention has a plastically deformed portion (111) caused by plastic working in which with the front end wall (109) itself as a fulcrum, the back opening (110) is deformed from an open state to a closed state in the upper-lower direction.

Metallic one-side teeth that attain preventing of colliding contact at interlock, enhancing of rigidity against moment by horizontal pull force and construction of simple structure; and a two-way slide fastener utilizing the metallic one-side teeth. An upper inclined plane (8) declining toward the side of interlock dent portion (5) is provided between the opening edge (5a) of the interlock dent portion (5) and the apical edge (7) of an interlock head portion (3). By virtue of the upper inclined plane (8), at insertion in the interlock dent portion (5), there can be prevented any insertion of an interlock convex portion (4) as an interlock counterpart-side while making colliding contact with the interlock head portion (3). Accordingly, the sliding movement of slider for opening/closing of a two-way slide fastener can be smoothed.

Embodiments herein provide adhesive zipper tape. A zipper may be coupled to adhesive zipper tape to form a zipper assembly. In various embodiments, the adhesive zipper tape may be coupled to a piece of fabric, such as in a garment, around an opening. The zipper may then be used to open and close the opening. In various embodiments, the adhesive zipper tape may manifest an adhesive quality when activated by an activation stimulus, such as heat or air.

There is provided a slide fastener and a method for manufacturing a slide fastener, in which the fastener element rows can be both dyed and matted and the manufacturing cost of the slide fastener can be reduced. A slide fastener is provided with: a pair of fastener tapes (20); a pair of fastener element rows (30) provided respectively on the opposing tape-side edges (20a) of the pair of fastener tapes (20) and having a plurality of fastener elements (31); and a slider (40) configured to engage and disengage the pair of fastener element rows (30) with and from each other. Each of the fastener element rows (30) is comprised of a monofilament (50) which is made of synthetic resin. The monofilament (50) has, on the surface thereof, a surface layer (51) which can be colored with dyes. A roughened surface (52) having a number of concaves is formed on the surfaces of the surface layer (51).
