摘要： The invention concerns a device for connecting a fluid-pressure-measuring apparatus to a pipeline with a clamping collar which can be clamped in a radially sealing manner to the pipeline. In one half of the clamping collar an axially guided needle, which is directed radially to the pipeline casing, is guided in a restricted axially displaceable manner. The needle can be displaced axially by means of a threaded spindle whose thread is connected to the clamping collar half, the threaded spindle being directed coaxially to the longitudinal axis of the needle. The object of the invention is to prevent as far as possible the risk of the needle's breaking. To that end, the threaded spindle (6) has a coaxial blind bore (8) into which the shank (9) of the needle (5) can be inserted coaxially. Disposed between the base (12) of the blind bore (8) and the end face (13) of the shank (9) of the needle (5) facing the base (12) are centring means (14) which centre the needle (5) automatically and without force.

摘要： The present invention comprises an improved method and apparatus, associated with a self-piercing valve assembly (10) for mounting the self-piercing valve on a pipe (11) and for constraining movement of the valve on the pipe. In accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a self-piercing valve assembly (10) comprises a clamping assembly (13) and a crimping member (58) associated with the clamping assembly, which crimping member 'automatically' crimps a pipe and forms a recess therein when the self-piercing valve clamping assembly is tightened about the pipe, and simultaneously effects a crimping member/recess interface (59) (much like a key-and-keyway interface) which inhibits relative angular rotation between the pipe and valve. The crimping member is, preferably, a rigid, projection or tab.

摘要： The automatic feed drill includes a spindle mounted therein for rotating in reciprocating movement. The spindle is rotated by spindle rotation gear that is engaged with the main drive gear which is ultimately driven by an air motor or the like. The feed and retraction movement (reciprocation) is caused by a spindle feed gear that is threaded onto the spindle. The spindle feed gear is engaged with a feed gear which, during feed movement, is driven by the main drive gear, and during retraction movement, is shifted into a position wherein the feed gear is prevented from rotating. The spindle also carries a collar or other abutment that engages a shift lever at the end of the feed movement. The shift lever is moved by the collar, and, due to its interconnection with the feed gear, moves the feed gear out of engagement with the main drive gear and into the position wherein it is prevented from rotating. The apparatus also includes a yieldable stop device that holds the feed gear stopped during retraction movement. In the event that excessive torque is encountered, such as by a lower collar on the spindle engaging the housing, the yieldable stop member rotates at the same speed as the spindle feed gear and thus, prevents further retraction of the spindle and avoids damage to the drill.
