摘要： An umbrella assembly (100) is provided that comprises an umbrella hub (116) comprising an upper portion (142), a lower portion (146) and a passage configured to be disposed about an umbrella pole. The upper portion (142) includes a top surface that extends between the passage and an outer periphery of the hub. The lower portion (146) includes a bottom surface that extends between the passage and the outer periphery of the hub. The umbrella hub (116) also includes a first engagement position and a second engagement position. The first engagement position is configured to permit insertion of end portions of umbrella structural members into the hub. The first engagement position is provided by first relative movement of the upper and lower portions of the hub along an axis extending through the passage. The second engagement position is configured to retain end portions of umbrella structural members within the hub. The second engagement position is provided by second relative movement of the upper and lower portions of the hub along an axis extending through the passage.

摘要： A canopy (10) comprising a hub (16) from which extend a plurality of ribs (18), and sheet material (20) which is supported by the ribs (18) when the canopy (10) is in use. The sheet material (20) has an aperture (54) over the hub (16) and is clamped by a cap (22) also over the hub (16) with edges (52) of the sheet material (20) which define the aperture (54) being sandwiched between the cap (22) and the hub (16). A fixing device (71) extends from the cap (22), through the aperture (54), to the hub (16). Yieldable material (60) has portions (62, 64) extending on both sides of the sheet material (20) at the said edges (52) thereof. The said fixing device (71) extends through the yieldable material (60) so that the said edges (52) of the sheet material (20) are sandwiched between the said portions (62, 64) and so that the said portions (62, 64) are also sandwiched between the cap (22) and the hub (16), and are squashed therebetween by means of the fixing device (71) when the canopy (10) is in use to form a seal that inhibits ingress of water from an intended outside of the canopy (10) to an intended inside thereof.

摘要： The collapsible umbrella includes a shank (10), an arm assembly (20) and a telescoping mechanism (50). The shank (10) has an upper seat (11) and a lower seat (12). The arm assembly (20) has a plurality of arms for supporting a canopy (30) and connects with the upper seat (11) and the lower seat (12). The lower seat (12) is axially slidably disposed on the shank (10) so as to make the arm assembly (20) collapsible. The telescoping mechanism (50) is disposed between the upper seat (11) and a cap (40) and composed of a fixing rod (51) and an elastic member (52). The fixing rod (51) is formed with a connecting portion (511) fastened to the cap (40). The elastic member (52)has an extending length greater than a length of the fixing rod (51). The elastic member (52) is clamped between the fixing rod (51) and the upper seat (11), so that the telescoping mechanism (50) makes the cap (40) move upward and downward.
