    摘要： A device sized and shaped for alleviating organ prolapse when inserted into a vagina, comprising: (a) an adjustably flexible, substantially planar ring provided with at least one opposing snapping element; (b) a central rod extending at least partially through the ring transverse to the snapping elements, where the central rod is provided with counterpart slots configured for insertion of the snapping elements therein; and, (c) a connection block, co-axial with the central rod and slidable thereover to transition the device from an expanded state to a collapsed state, configured with slots which align with the counterpart slots of the central rod for passage of at least one snapping element therethrough when the device is in the collapsed state.

    摘要： A recto-cystocele device (200) addresses rectocele and cystocele. The device (200) generally comprise a handle (206) and a paddle (204) that are distinguished from one another by a bend (208) in the recto-cystocele device (200) which forms essentially an L-shaped unit, the bend (208) possessing a sufficient radius to avoid contact with a pelvic region (1008) of the woman and the recto-cystocele device (200). The device (200) further comprises an expandable sheath (702) located on the paddle (204) that after being inserted in a vagina of the woman and is expanded therein is in contact with at least an upper portion of the vagina (103) that includes a posterior fornix of the vagina (109) and a lower portion of the vagina (106) that does not include the posterior fornix. The handle (206), which does not go into the vagina, is adapted to be manually manipulated by the woman.

    (a) a body including a plurality of arc sections (2402, 2404, 2406, 2408) adapted to, at least in one state, extend along a vaginal axis and apply force to facing vaginal walls along axial extents thereof, wherein said body is adapted to be in at least two states:
    (i) a compressed state in which said body is sized for insertion into said vagina; and
    (ii) an expanded state in which said body is sized and stiff enough for providing organ prolapse alleviation and in which state said plurality of arc sections (2402, 2404, 2406, 2408) extend along a vaginal axis and apply force to facing vaginal walls; and (b) a state changing mechanism (2416) integral to said pessary and configured to change a configuration of said body from one state to the other state, wherein said pessary is stable in both states.
