The face (11) includes a thin portion (14) and a thick portion (15) having a larger thickness than the thin portion (14) in a face-to-back direction. The thin portion (14) has a larger area than the thick portion (15). The thick portion (15) is located centrally of a back face (13) in a toe-to-heel direction, surrounded by the thin portion (14), and protrudes from the thin portion (14) in the face-to-back direction. The face has a hardness of HV510 or more and HV600 or less. The hosel (20) has a hardness of HV300 or less.

    摘要： A golf club (10) configured to be positioned in a golf ball address position. The golf club (10) includes a body (20) having a heel portion (32) and a toe portion (30), and a face (22) coupled to the body (20). A composite axis (60) extends from the heel portion (32) to the toe portion (30) and is parallel to ground when the golf club (10) is positioned in the golf ball address position. The face (22) has a golf ball contact surface (44) and a rear surface (46). The face (22) is formed of a fiber composite material including at least first and second sets of ply arrangements. Each of the ply arrangements include a pair of plies (50a, 50b) with one ply (50a) having a first plurality of fibers (56) defining a first angle with respect to the composite axis (60) and the other ply (50b) having a second plurality of fibers (56) defining a second angle with respect to the composite axis (60). The pair of plies (50a, 50b) include at least one resin (54). The first and second pluralities of fibers (56) of the first set of ply arrangements are glass fibers and the first and second pluralities of fibers (56) of the second set of ply arrangements are carbon fibers. The first set of ply arrangements is positioned closer to the golf ball contact surface (44) than to the rear surface (46), and the second set of ply arrangements is positioned closer to the rear surface (46) than to the golf ball contact surface (44). The ratio of the number of ply arrangements of the first set of ply arrangements to the number of ply arrangements of the second set of ply arrangements is at least 0.25.

    摘要： A golf club head (11) is formed by joining various parts to a head shell (21) made of metal and having a hollow structure. The head shell (21) has a region where a face (31) and a sole (52) are continuous with each other, thereby forming a leading edge (55) between the face (31) and the sole (52). A reinforcing member (82) made of fiber reinforced plastic configured to apply a resistance to bending of the slot (81) is attached in the slot (81). The slot (81) has a thickness of, for example, about 0.8 mm to 1.3 mm and has a cross-sectional shape forming a parabola. The reinforcing member (82) has a thickness of, for example, about 10% to 20% of the width of the slot (81) in the target direction.
