摘要: A fuming or smoke-emitting device used on a model steam locomotive of railway model driven by an electric motor. This model locomotive is accurately and precisely reduced in a predetermined scale from an actual locomotive. The scale recently tends to mainly become large. It is therefore required to reduce the fuming device as much as possible and to simulate the smoke exhausted from the actual locomotive in the smoking state. These requirements are critical. The achievement of the emission of smoke of the model locomotive requires a special design of the corresponding mechanism This fuming device comprises a container which has therein N ichrome wire and is provided at its upper portion with perforation for exhausting the fume or smoke. The container is filled with an isolated liquid mixture of water and oil having non-affinity with each other. When the heater is heated, the water is boiled to thereby stir the oil of the liquid mixture. Thus, the oil is burnt, and the smoke of fume thus produced is exhausted by the steam. The fuming state by this combustion phenomenon simulates the smoke exhausted from the actual locomotive, because this fume thus exhausted from the locomotive is similar in principle to the utilization of the steam exhausted usually from the normal cylinder. This fuming device is extremely small and simple in structure, and not restricted in its configuration design. Accordingly, this device is adapted to be carried on the model locomotive.

摘要: To prevent defective generation or incapable generation of mist due to aging degradation or breakage of a vibrating plate in this type of mist generating devices.
A mist generating device including a vibrating plate which vibrates at a high frequency and a liquid supply mechanism for supplying a conductive liquid such as water to the vibrating plate and generating a mist by bringing the liquid supplied through the liquid supply mechanism into contact with the vibrating plate for atomization, the mist generating device further including liquid-contact detecting unit for detecting presence of contact of the liquid with the vibrating plate; and protective operation performing unit for performing a protective operation for preventing idle vibration of the vibrating plate when the liquid-contact detecting unit detects noncontact of the liquid with the vibrating plate.-

摘要: An ultrasonic wave nebulizer for converting water or liquid to mist has a disc-shaped piezoelectric vibrator (TD) which has a pair of surfaces one of which is defined as an operation surface. A thin plate (21) having a plurality of small holes or mesh is located close to said operation surface so that a gap or a thin water or liquid film is defined between the mesh and the operation surface. The gap spacing is smaller than the diameter of water drop which is composed by surface tension of water when no mesh were located. Upon excitation of the vibrator with high frequency power, the water film is converted to mist. The exciting frequency is almost the same as the resonant frequency of the vibrator. Said high frequency power is intermittent having duty ratio (D ON /D) in the range from 10 % to 70 % so that instantaneous exciting power is high to facilitate water to mist conversion while average power is low to keep temperature at the operation surface low. The present nebulizer has many applications, including medical inhaler, a toy which generates pseudo smoke et al.
