The invention relates to a device for the blast cleaning of foundry cores. The inventive device consists of: a shaft (1) comprising first compressed air inlet means (20) and pulsed air outlet means (25); an approach cylinder (3) which slides inside the shaft, under the action of the compressed air, between a retracted position and a working position in which a punch (5) is in contact with a workpiece; and striking means (50) which subject the punch to repeated impacts. The device also comprises: means (219) for sealing the air outlet means, which can inhibit the striking means as the approach cylinder moves from the retracted position to the working position thereof; and timing means (225) for opening the sealing means at the end of a pre-determined period of time following a determined event.

A percussive apparatus comprises a body (2) inside of which a striking piston (4) is mounted in a cylinder bore (3). Two axially offset pieces (17, 18) are mounted inside the cylinder bore (3) of the body while being concentric to the piston, and a deformable washer (19) is placed between said pieces. One of the pieces (17) is stationary with regard to the other piece (18) that, however, is mounted in a manner that enables it to slide inside the cylinder bore and to be displaced in the direction of the stationary piece while being subjected to the action of the supply pressure of the hydraulic fluid that acts upon the surface of the moving piece (18) facing away from the side opposite the stationary piece (17). This displacement of the moving piece (18) causes the elastic washer (19) to deform in order to create a passage with a variable cross-section on the return circuit (15) of the hydraulic fluid to the reservoir or on a circuit that diverts, to the return circuit, a portion of the delivery flow of the apparatus whereby regulating the input pressure.

A pneumatic linerbolt removing tool including a moil supported for reciprocal movement along a hammer axis within a housing, an inertial body movably mounted along said hammer axis, and a piston assembly moveable within said inertial body along the hammer axis between a striking position at which it strikes the moil and a retracted position remote therefrom. The tool further including a gas-charged accumulator for urging said piston toward the moil and air supply means to a cylinder adapted to urge a biasing piston on the inertial body relative to the housing and toward said moil. The inertial body being ported so that working air is supplied to a front face of the piston assembly to urge it to a coked position away from the moil and whereby the accumulator is in its compressed state, and selectively operable porting means for equalizing pressure between the front and rear faces of the piston, to continuously allow transfer of air between said faces while in operation.

In an oil-operated hammer (2) the movement of the striking mass (9) is controlled by a distributor (24) guided within a valve body (15) provided with delivery ports (16) to which oil under pressure is send and exhaust ports (17) communicating with the oil exhaust circuit. The distributor (24) is movable from an opened position in which the delivery ports (16) are uncovered to allow the entrance of oil under pressure thrusting the striking mass (9) towards a striking position, to a closed position in which the exhaust ports (17) are uncovered to let the oil outflow during the displacement of the mass (9) to the return position. The starting displacement of the distributor (24) to the opened position is caused by the pumping produced by the striking mass (9) as a result of the exhaust ports (17) being covered by the striking mass itself when the latter is about to reach its return position.
