摘要： The invention relates to a device for storing and applying a fluid product (12), comprising a tank (10) for storing the product in free form, a conveyor conduit (14) projecting into the tank, an applicator device (18) connected to the conveyor conduit, and a passage (22) which has a first and a second mouth opening (24, 26) and in which a portion (30) of the conveyor conduit is disposed, wherein the first mouth opening of the passage is disposed in the tank, the second mouth opening is connected to the interior of the tank only by way of the conveyor conduit, and the conveyor conduit projects out of the passage beyond the first mouth opening into the tank. According to the invention, in any position of the device with respect to the direction of the force of gravity the volume of the tank that is beneath the first mouth opening is greater than a nominal filling volume of the device.

摘要： 0 A liquid dispensing and atomizing device comprises a reservoir (22) for liquid to be dispensed, a capillary feed device, preferably a wick (23) of absorbent material, for feeding liquid from the reservoir (22) and nozzle means (9, 10) for directing a jet of air or other gas under pressure over or against the tip of the wick (23), or other capillary feed device, whereby liquid in the tip is dispensed as an atomized spray in the jet leaving the tip and liquid is simultaneously drawn to the tip from the reservoir (1). The nozzle means (9,10) is connected to a source (1) of compressed air or other gas through a manually-operable valve (5). With such a device, a variety of effects can be produced in a simple manner, particularly in the graphics art and fine art fields. In a further embodiment a conventional felt or fibre-tip pen, or a conventional technical drawing pen is used as the liquid reservoir.

摘要： A device for moistening an envelope flap (50) includes a mechanism which defines an envelope feed path (54) and a plate disposed adjacent the envelope feed path. The plate passes between the envelope body (58) and the envelope flap (60). A plurality of orifices (86) formed in the plate discharge moistening fluid received from a reservoir onto the envelope flap (60). The moistening device also includes a valve mechanism (64) to selectively supply each of the orifices with moistening fluid from the reservoir. A flap sensing mechanism (66) is disposed adjacent the envelope feed path (54) for sensing an edge portion of the envelope flap (60) and operatively connected to the valve mechanism to supply signals to the valve mechanism to selectively actuate the valve mechanism to selectively supply moistening fluid to the orifices in response to the sensing of the edge portion of the envelope flap.
