摘要： The seat has a frame (16) which extends between the : floor (20) of a vehicle in which it is mounted andthe backrest : (14) of a seat (10) of the vehicle. A seat shell (34) is slidable on curved portions (22) of side rails (17) of the frame and can be secured in a desired position by engagement of a spring-loaded bolt (44) at each side of the seat in one of a series of apertures (30) in each side rail (17). In addition to the rearwardly-facing reclined position of Figure 2, the shell can adopt reclined and upright forwardly-facing positions (Figures 3 and 4). The seat can also be converted into a pram (Figure 7). Figures 8 to 12 show a second child's safety seat, in which the shell (110) is attached to side rails (101) by two connections (120, 121) only at each side.

摘要： O A child's seat arranged for use seated on a vehicle seat which is equipped with an adult-sized safety belt, which child's seat comprises a horizontal seat portion on which a child may sit, an upright back portion against which such a child may rest its back when seated on the seat portion, and transverse hinge means hingedly inter-connecting said seat and back portions so as to permit the back portion to be hinged relative to the seat portion from an upright in-use position towards a horizontal storage position and vice versa. The back portion is provided with side wings which have sideways profiles shaped to accommodate the variations in chest size and position of children of different ages, and thereby ensure adequate belt contact between the diagonal belt portion and the chest of a child seated on the seat portion, without exerting undue pressure on the child's chest.

摘要： A child's safety seat (10) is for use in a land vehicle, air or marine craft having an adult seat (31) equiped with a safety belt having a lap strap (32) and a shoulder strap (34). The safety seat (10) comprises a seat body having a seat portion (12) and a back portion (14) supported on a frame having a pair of side members (20, 22) each of which has a back end located behind the back portion (14) and above the seat portion (12) and a front end located in front of the back portion (14) and below the seat portion (12), each side member (20, 22) being shaped so as to have an intermediate portion between its ends located behind the seat so as to engage with a lap strap (32) of an adult safety belt whereby the frame is securable to the adult seat - (31). Guide means (40) for a shoulder strap (34) of the adult safety belt are secured to the frame seat and adapted to allow the shoulder belt (34) to pass therethrough in one direction but to inhibit movement of the shoulder belt (34) therethrough in the opposite direction.
