A motorcycle is described which includes an accommodating space 36 and a canister space 38. A battery casing 46 is provided in a front end portion of a rear fender 34 disposed above a rear wheel 14, and a battery 35 is accommodated within the battery casing 46. A recessed portion 55 which is upwardly recessed is formed in a lower surface of the rear fender 34, and a canister 40 is disposed in the recessed portion 55. The accommodating space 36, in which the battery 35 is disposed, and a canister space 38, in which the canister 40 is disposed, are partitioned by an upper wall 56 and a peripheral wall 58 of the recessed portion 55.

[Problem] There is provided a battery support structure for a saddle-type vehicle that allows a battery of a motorcycle to be easily attached to or detached from a battery case in a vehicle-width direction, and that eliminates the need for a special member to fix the battery. [Solution] A tool box 13 is disposed on the rear side of the crank case 11 and below the main frame 7, and a battery case 16 is disposed adjacent to the tool box 13 such that the longitudinal direction of the battery case 16 is equal to the vehicle-width direction. On the left side of the battery case 16, a side opening 16a is formed so as to open toward the left side of the vehicle. The battery 17 is inserted into the battery case 16 through the side opening 16a. Since a box body 30 of the tool box 13 fits in the side opening (16a), protrudes into the battery case 16, and presses and fixes the battery 17, the battery 17 is prevented from moving. An electrical component stay 20 is disposed on the battery case 16 to fix an ECU 18. The electrical component stay 20 covers the ECU 18, and an upper portion, a front portion, and a bottom portion of the battery case 16; and serves as a heat shield plate.

A rear frame (2) of a saddle-riding vehicle supports a rider seat (22) and a passenger seat (24). A tail lamp (26) is supported by rear end portions (66L, 66R) of the rear frame (2). The rear end portions (66L, 66R) of the rear frame (2) are open rearwardly. The tail lamp (26) is disposed in the open region and closes the region between the rear end portions (66L, 66R) of the rear frame (2).

A folding riding vehicle, such as a tricycle, feature a front frame element to which a front wheel and handlebars are mounted. A front bracket is attached to the front frame element and a seat bracket, to which a seat is mounted, is pivotally attached to the front bracket. A rear frame element has a pair of rear wheels mounted thereto and is attached to a rear bracket. The rear bracket is also pivotally mounted to the front bracket. The rear seat bracket features a pin that engages slots in the seat bracket. As a result, the seat bracket pivots with respect to the front bracket as the rear frame element is pivoted relative to the front bracket as the riding vehicle is moved between folded and unfolded configurations.
