Water-crafts having stabilizers acting through a relatively long lever, comprising aerial wings (4), applied to the purpose of stabilizing and lifting, to be applied on light and very light hulls, at the same time allowing short glides having as principal aim the stabilization, in the case of heavy crafts, comprising also aerial wings and/or nozzles (6) ejecting fluid under pressure, carried by the aforementioned wings (4) or other also underwater ones supports, the said stabilizers being, or not, automized ones. Such a stabilization system allows apply hydrodynamic wings (3-23) on both the sides of the very sharp bottom of a hull, that is remaining submerged, and allows apply, on the keel, hydrodynamic wings (3), if possible narrow, uninterrupted or splitted, ones, on suitable supports, if the hull rises on the water, reducing the width of the air-cushion in the Hovercrafts and in similar crafts to the purpose, respectively, of deeply ploughing the waters or skimming the water, always cutting the same. The course, the system allows also the stabilization of the conventional ships.

A system for countering the rolling motion of a marine vessel, comprises one or more sensors adapted to characterise a sea condition approaching the vessel, one or more control systems, a computer, and one or more active stabilisers. The computer is adapted to receive the characterised sea condition data, is further adapted to generate one or more control signals in dependence on the characterised sea condition data, and is still further adapted to transmit the or each control signal to the or each control system. The or each control system is in turn adapted to actuate the or each active stabiliser in response to receipt of the or each control signal, to counter the rolling motion of the marine vessel.

A surface-effect vessel including a central hull (2) and two thin side keels (3a, 3b) located on either side of the central hull and defining therewith, under the deadworks of the vessel (4), an air tunnel (12a, 12b) with an open side facing the water surface and front and rear transverse sides sealed by flexible front and rear skirts (5a, 5b, 6a, 6b), as well as blowers combined with respective air tunnels for blowing air into the space between the front and rear skirts to create two separate compressed air masses (8a, 8b) that each exert a lift force on the vessel. The lower edge (10) of each keel is shaped so that it partially emerges from the water when the vessel begins to roll (O) in the keel raising direction, whereby air leaks out sideways (D) and, the greater the degree of roll, the greater will be the corresponding reduction in the lifting force exerted by the compressed air mass laterally defined by said keel, and the faster it will occur. The rolling motion of the vessel is thus damped.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Dampfung der Rollbewegung eines Wasserfahrzeuges (1) um die Längsachse (L) desselben, wobei das Wasserfahrzeug (1) mindestens einen Antrieb zur Erzeugung eines Schubstrahles fur das Wasserfahrzeug (1) aufweist, bei welchem mindestens eine die Rollbewegung charakterisierende Meßgröße gemessen und in Abhängigkeit von der gemessenen Meßgröße eine der Rollbewegung entgegenwirkende Querkraft erzeugt wird, bei welchem der Antrieb und der erzeugte Schubstrahl um die Hochachse des Wasserfahrzeuges (1) schwenkbar ist und nach Maßgabe einer Steuerung in einen Steuerwinkel geschwenkt wird und in Abhangigkeit von der gemessenen Meßgröße aus dem vorgegebenen Steuerwinkel um einen Dämpfungswinkel (D) zur Erzeugung der Querkraft verschwenkt wird.
