摘要： A trash bag securing system is provided. The trash bag securing device includes a trash receptacle or trash receptacle rim. The trash receptacle includes a bottom portion and at least one sidewall extending from the bottom portion. The sidewall may include an inner surface and an outer surface, with the receptacle formed within the inner surface of the sidewall. The sidewall further includes a rim forming an entrance leading into the receptacle. At least one opening is formed through the sidewall. The trash bag securing device may further include an elastic cord, such as a stretchable bungee cord. The elastic cord may be a continuous, unbroken loop or broken with a first and second end and may include a cord lock, or adjustable knot so as to customize tension around the rim of the receptacle. The elastic cord is attached to the trash receptacle through the at least one opening. The elastic cord is sized to fit around the outer surface of the sidewall to secure a trash bag to the trash receptacle.

Initial opening of a transparent plastic bag (2) provided with the invention breaks frangible connections (54, 62) of end tabs (46, 48) wrapped and adhesively secured around vertical edges of a folded double sectional or triple sectional support member (40, 42, 44) and unsealed bag opening. Once opened, the bag opening can be reclosed and secured by folding the support member with the bag opening and folding a tin-tie (50, 52) coextensive with the end tabs (46, 48) around the vertical edges. Tampering with the bag (2) is evident from the broken frangible connections.

摘要： A flexible food package comprises a bottom end, a top end, and a side wall incorporating a twistable portion having increased dead fold characteristics than adjacent portions of the side wall. The twistable portion has at least a first section and a second section each having a maximum width and joined by at least a third section having a minimum width less than the maximum width of each of the first and second sections. The third section is configured to permit the first and second sections to twist about the third section. The twistable portion is configured to twist together with adjacent portions of the side wall to restrict access to an access opening formed after opening of the top end. A method of manufacturing reclosable flexible packages including twistable portions is also provided.
