摘要: A take-up assembly (10) for storing and selectively feeding and taking up flexible hydraulic hoses (20) extending between the body or mast (12) of a lift truck (14) and the vertically-reciprocating load carriage (18) of the truck includes mechanical design features for facilitating servicing while mounted on the truck (14). In particular, the assembly (10) has a reel structure (22) providing a line-storing hub (56) comprising two separate line-supporting surface portions (56a,56b. 56c; 56d), each having axially-extending widths traversing substantially the entire distance between flanges (52, 54) of the reel. The outer flange (52) of the reel (22) is detachably connected by connectors (66) to the hub (56) for permitting removal of the flange together with one (56d) of such line-supporting hub portions, while retaining in place substantially the entire width of the other line-supporting portion (56a, 56b, 56c) of the hub. The removable line-supporting portion (56d) of the hub is located adjacent line attachment fittings (40) within the hub so as to facilitate access thereto, and comprises only a minor portion of the line-supporting surface area of the hub so that the wound coils of the line (20) remain supported despite such removal.

摘要: A lift truck of the order-picker type is provided with an automatic control system for safe-guarding the operation against certain conditions. The electronic control system is responsive to an electrical height signal corresponding to the height of the lift fork (32) to regulate or limit the other operational functions of the truck. A speed control channel (152) compares a speed signal with a speed command signal and produces a speed control signal of limiting value. A travel interrupt channel (212) compares the height signal with the steering angle and interrupts the vehicle travel if the steering angle is excessive. Usually, the high speed lift is cut-off when a predetermined height is reached; the lowering of the upright (26) is disabled at a predetermined lower limit subject to manual override.

摘要: Special attachments mounted on a carriage assembly of a lift truck normally require one or more hydraulic cylinders to effect the various work tasks. A plurality of flexible hoses are normally routed over a mast assembly of the lift truck and are suitably connected to the cylinders to communicate pressurized hydraulic fluid. Such routing arrangements normally impair the forward visibility of the operator and do not always provide for a compact and protected disposition of the hoses on the mast assembly. The routing arrangement (24) of this invention includes a plurality of sheaves (28) and brackets (33) for mounting and guiding loop portions (25) of flexible hoses (21) on a movable upright assembly (14) in vertically spaced and closely compacted relationship to permit vertical movements of the movable upright assembly (14) relative to the hoses (21). The hoses (21) are attached between a fixed upright assembly (12) of a mast assembly (11) and a carriage assembly (18), slidably mounted on the movable upright assembly (14).
