The glass includes glass phase layers that is located on a surface layer of the glass and includes no crystal, and a glass-ceramic layer that is stacked with the glass phase layers and includes crystals. In the glass according to the embodiment of this application, the surface layer of the glass is a complete glass phase, so that the surface layer has high ion exchange efficiency in a chemical strengthening process, which is conductive to stress enhancement of the surface layer and stress monitoring of a chemically strengthened layer, and increases a surface compressive stress and a strengthening stress depth of the glass, and surface processability is excellent. In addition, an interior of the glass is the glass-ceramic layer, which can resist a central tensile stress and crack propagation, so that the glass has both a high fracture toughness of glass-ceramics and a deep chemical strengthening stress of glass, and has excellent anti-drop performance.

The present disclosure discloses a lithium disilicate glass-ceramic with high strength and high transparency and a preparation method and use thereof. According to the present disclosure, by means of optimizing the raw material proportions and adjusting the heat treatment conditions, the lithium disilicate glass-ceramic with lithium disilicate as a main crystal phase and lithium metasilicate, lithium phosphate or quartz as an impurity phase is prepared, in which the lithium disilicate crystals have a size larger than 700 nm and a length-diameter ratio not less than 3; the three-point bending strength of the lithium disilicate glass-ceramic is within a range of 450-750 MPa, the fracture toughness is higher than 3.5 MPa·m 1/2 , and the optical transmittance of a sample with a thickness of 1 mm at 550 nm is adjustable within a range of 10%-80%. The lithium disilicate glass-ceramic combines the excellent properties of both high strength and high transparency, thereby effectively reducing the risk of chipping of restorations, simulating the toughness and light transparency of natural teeth well and having good application prospects.
