    摘要： A carpet includes a weft fill material (18c) which fills the loops formed in the pile of warp yarns (14a and 14b) so as to be partially visible and contribute to both the design and appearance of the resultant carpet and the durability by supporting the inside of the loops formed by the warp yarns (14a and 14b). The binding chains (17a and 17b), with the wefts (18a and 18b), bind the pile warp yarns (14a and 14b) to the carpet backing with the stuffer (16) being held securely between the wefts (18a and 18b). In alternative embodiments the binding chains (17a and 17b) can be partially or totally omitted with the warp yarns (14a and 14b) being fed over and under the stuffer (16). Apparatus for forming the carpet is described.

    摘要： This invention relates to an equipment of a weaving machine, in which pile warp yarns (7-13), (16-22) extend through the space between the reed dents and, distributed between a number of a number of pile warp yarn systems, are provided on the weaving machine in order to weave a pile fabric, while a group of pile warp yarns (7-22) extend through each space between the reed dents, comprising the pile warp yarns of at least two pile warp yarn systems (7-13),(16-22). Because of this it is possible to weave pile fabrics having higher pile densities at a certain reed setting.
    The invention also relates to an easy and quick method to modify the equipment of a weaving machine, maintaining the reed setting and the pile warp yarns of each space between the reed dents being distributed between at least two pile warp yarn systems.
    The invention further also relates to a weaving process in which, per space between the reed dents the pile warp yarns (7-13),(16-22) of at least two pile warp yarn systems are supplied and a pile fabric woven in that manner the number of complete backing warp yarn systems, the number of complete backing warp yarn systems of which is smaller than or equal to the number of pile warp yarn systems.
