摘要： An embroidery frame 100 is provided with a lower holding member 110 on which a sewing workpiece is placed and with an upper holding member 106 that presses from above on the sewing workpiece placed on the lower holding member 110. The embroidery frame 100 is also provided with a first adjustment portion 108 that adjusts a distance between the lower holding member 110 and the upper holding member 106 in a state in which the upper holding member 106 is pressing from above on the sewing workpiece placed on the lower holding member 110. Operating the first adjustment portion 108 to adjust the distance between the lower holding member 110 and the upper holding member 106 as desired makes it possible for the embroidery frame 100 to hold a sewing workpiece with a non-uniform thickness more reliably than it is held in a known embroidery frame.

摘要： According to the present invention, in a sewing machine, a cylindrical frame for retaining tubular objects is mounted integrally on a cylindrical drive ring that is reciprocally driven in a rotational direction around a cylinder bed and that is linearly reciprocally driven along an axis of the cylinder bed; the drive ring is rotatably supported by a support member that is arranged to contact the outer periphery of the drive ring at three or more positions. By utilizing this construction, not only the drive ring, but also the frame that is mounted thereon may have a small diameter, and the drive ring can be stably supported by the support member so that it smoothly rotates. As a result, the frame can retain tubular objects having a small diameter, such as golf club covers and wrist bands, and a sewing operation, such as an embroidery operation, can be suitably performed along the periphery of the tubular object.

摘要： An embroidery frame for holding a textile panel between two circular plates each having a central opening covered by the panel. The panel is held in place by being sandwiched between the plates. A compressible strip around the opening of one of the plates presses the panel firmly against the opposite panel. A clearance gap between the rims of the two plates allows the panel to extend out of the frame without creasing the panel. The circular shape of the frame permits it to be used in a standard frame holder in an automatic embroidery machine.
