Abstract:
There is disclosed thermal transfer media containing both fixed and variable printed information, and method of making and using such a thermal transfer medium. The fixed information is printed in one or more fixed-information zone(s) preferably on a web during a long production run and thereafter as the need arises the variable information is printed or imprinted in one or more variable information zone(s) on sections of the web during shorter production runs. The transfer medium is particularly suited for printing onto fabrics that are subject to repeated home laundering and commercial dry cleaning.
Abstract:
The marker comprises a plate (2) mobile vertically in proximity to the sewing line between two adjacent pieces, a punch (3) for punching a tape (7) of paper or similar material, a section (t) for the linear movement of said paper tape disposed downstream of said punch, and a doctor blade (13) for distributing indelible dye and mobile along said linear section (t) in contact with said punched paper tape (7).
Abstract:
Process for making a fabric label (10) containing one piece of unique information; characterized by comprising the following steps: providing a fabric piece (7) comprising a first woven pattern (2) made by a predetermined arrangement combination of weft threads with respect to the warp threads; applying at least one second decorating pattern (4) on said fabric piece (7) to make at least one decoration for a label (10) to be made; associating at least one piece of variable information (5) adapted to uniquely identify a label (10) to be made; detecting a reference image (12) for every second decorating pattern (4), associated with a label (10) to be made; each reference image (12) being adapted to show the reciprocal position of every second decorating pattern (4) with respect to the first woven pattern (2); storing the picture in an association database (14).
Abstract:
The invention aims to improve the manufacture of flexible goods, such as garments, through the temporary modification of the physical properties of the components to be assembled, facilitating their handling and manipulation later on in the manufacturing process. Attributes that can be affected by this process are the stiffness of the material, the presence of mechanical or physical markings, the density of the material, the air or fluid permeability of the material, the responsiveness of the material to magnetic fields, or the adhesive nature of the material.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for applying a code to textile webs in the form of detectable dots of iron-containing paste. The moving textile web (1) is passed over an iron-containing paste (3) placed on a movable support (2). A series of dots is formed on the textile web by pressing the textile web (1) briefly into the paste (3) by means of vertically movable cogs (5) disposed above the textile web (1).
Abstract:
A marking device for mounting on the valve stem of a pressurized dispenser having a valve actuated by said valve stem, said container having a marking material and a propellant medium therein, said marking device comprising a mark-forming member, provided with an axial bore, said mark-forming member being adapted to be connected with the valve stem so that there is provided communication between the axial bore and a dispensing passage in the valve stem when the valve stem is actuated so as to dispense the marking material from the mark-forming member, said mark-forming member having a surface for contacting an object to be marked, said surface having disposed therein one or a plurality of open grooves extending radially from the axial bore to the outer periphery of the surface, characterized by the fact that said grooves (19; 19') have facing side walls (21, 22; 21', 22') angularly disposed with respect to each other so as to diverge in the direction of the surface (20; 20') in which the grooves (19, 19') are disposed.
