Pipe bundle heat exchangers are often used as deheaters and condensers in absorption heat pumps. These well-known pipe bundle heat exchangers comprise horizontal pipe bundles which are installed in a container and are supplied a coolant or a sorption agent on the outer side of the pipe. Water or gas is supplied on the inner side of the pipe. Sealing of the duct of the heat exchanger pipe through the container wall is normally done by means of rolling, soldering or welding. This is both costly and entails risks for the functioning of the installation since leakages can occur in the plurality of ducts as a result of overpressure or negative pressure. Disclosed is a container/heat exchanger comprising pipe bundles that are connected to one another by means of connecting pipe elements, wherein said connecting pipe elements are arranged inside the vacuum-tight container. Also disclosed is a sorption refrigeration machine or heat pump equipped with said container/heat exchanger.
