Abstract: A process for making a flexo plate having indicia disposed on a floor of the flexo plate, the process comprising: a) imaging a cluster of microdots in a mask layer of the flexo plate, each microdot comprising a mask opening not wide enough to grow a printable screen dot in isolation; b) curing photopolymer of the flexo plate through the mask layer; and c) removing non-cured photopolymer of the flexo plate, wherein the indicia is defined by the photopolymer cured through the cluster of microdots and have a level above the floor of the flexo plate but below a printing level of the flexo plate so as not to print in a printing step.
