    摘要: In an optical head, recording, reproducing and guide laser beams are emitted from semiconductor lasers (11,16), and the laser beams are optically multiplexed by a multiplexer (36). The multiplexed laser beams are converged onto a tracking guide of a recording surface by an objective lens (20) and are reflected from the recording surface. The reflected laser beams are separated into the recording, reproducing and guide laser beams by the beam separator (38). The recording and guide laser beams are shielded in the beam separator (38), and only the reproducing laser beam is directed to photodetecting regions of information, tracking error and defocus detectors (28, 29, 30).

    摘要: A video recorder-playback machine is provided for recording and/or playing back video information from an information disc. The machine includes a "write" laser and a "read" laser respectively for generating record and playback optical beams which are focused upon the disc by an optical record-playback head. An optics carriage movably positions the head with respect to the disc in moving optical alignment with the "write" laser and carries the "read" laser in fixed optical alignment with the head. The machine includes apparatus for monitoring the record optical beam during operation in a record mode, and for substantially simultaneous operation in a playback mode to monitor the playback optical beam during the recording process.

    摘要: An optical pickup for reading out information from an information recording medium, such as an optical diskette, comprises a light source (11) for irradiating a light beam (L,) onto an optical diskette (D), an optical sensor (15) for detecting a light beam (L 10 ) reflected from the optical diskette, and an optical system including a wave plate and two hologram lenses (12,13). The first hologram lens (13) diffracts the light beam (L 7 ) from the light source, and the second hologram lens (12) transmits the same light beam (L 7 ). On the other hand, the second hologram lens (12) diffracts the reflected light beam (L 10 ) from the optical diskette (D) towards the optical sensor (15), and the first hologram lens (13) transmits the same reflected light beam. (L 10 ). The light and compact- sized hologram lenses (12,13) enable a reduction in the access time to the optical diskette (D). A hologram lens assembly, suitable for use in an optical pickup, is also disclosed.

    摘要: An astigmatism generator such as may be used in the pickup of an optical disk player which produces substantially no other aberrations yet which can be manufactured at a low cost. The astigmatism generator is fabricated from a plate (21) having four plane surfaces, including a first surface (22) through which light is introduced,a second surface (23) parallel to the first surface and through which the light exits, and a third surface (24) by which light transmitted thorough the first surface is reflected toward the second surface. The third surface is arranged at an oblique angle (α) to the first and second surfaces and is selected such that almost all coma is eliminated from the light passing through the second surface.

    摘要: A laser light flux is divided and synthesized so that its light intensity distribution is changed from a Gaussian distribution to a non-Gaussian distribution. When a laser light flux (L 0 ) having a Gaussian distribution is irradiated onto a dividing prism (1), it is divided into a left part (11) and a right part (1 2 ) which are refracted right and left invensely from each other. When the right and left parts (I 1 , 1 2 ) are incident on a synthesizing prism, they are refracted again and travel to be overlapped with each other on a recording medium. The light intensity distribution on a segment (dd') at the apex of the synthesizing prism is weaker at the central part and stronger at the peripheral part. This is because the light fluxes resulting from the division are inverted in their position so that the central part of the Gaussian distribution is separated left and right while the peripheral part with a weaker light intensity is centered.
