Das erfindungsgemäße Batteriesystem ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Batteriemodule (101) der ersten Zellchemie von einem Kühlmedium des Kühlkreislaufs (5) gekühlt sind, wobei die Batteriemodule (102) der zweiten Zellchemie entweder eine von dem Kühlkreislauf (5) unabhängige Kühlung aufweisen, oder von dem Kühlmedium des Kühlkreislaufs (5) parallel zu den Batteriemodulen (101) der ersten Zellchemie gekühlt sind, wobei eine Zuleitung für das Kühlmedium zu den Batteriemodulen (101, 102) der ersten und der zweiten Zellchemie wenigstens eine Ventileinrichtung (8) aufweist, mittels welcher das Kühlmedium zwischen den Batteriemodulen (101, 102) der ersten und der zweiten Zellchemie aufteilbar ist.-
