摘要: The described features generally relate to adjusting a native antenna pattern of a satellite to adapt communications via the satellite. For example, a communications satellite may include an antenna having a feed array assembly, a reflector, and a linear actuator coupled between the feed array assembly and the reflector. The feed array assembly may have a plurality of feeds for communicating signals associated with a communications service, and the reflector may be configured to reflect the signals transmitted between the feed array assembly and one or more target devices. The linear actuator may have an adjustable length, or otherwise provide an adjustable position between the feed array assembly and the reflector. By adjusting the position of the feed array assembly relative to the reflector, the communications satellite may provide a communications service according to a plurality of native antenna patterns.

In particular, the reflecting means (6) is mounted movably in the zone of detection of each microwave frequency sensor (2), so as to displace said detection zone by displacing the reflecting means (6). The invention also relates to a corresponding method of microwave frequency imaging.

摘要: A telecommunications antenna including a conductive ground plane, at least one radiator, and Electromagnetic Energy (EME) interrupter. The radiator is disposed in combination with the conductive ground plane and produces a beam pattern indicative of the performance/throughput of the radiator. The EME interrupter electrically connects to the conductive ground plane and is operative to electrically inhibit the transmission/reception of electromagnetic energy within a sector of the beam pattern. In one embodiment, the EME interrupter inhibits the transmission of energy within a sector of between about one degree (1°) to about twenty degrees (20°) (Fig. 3).
