    摘要: The present invention features an improved milking system (19) that provides a precise, delineated transition between the pressure and vacuum phases of a pulsator mechanism. The system (19) features a two valve control (5, 12) that provides a sharp transition between the alternating air pressure and vacuum that are supplied to a teat cup. One valve (12) of the pulsator mechanism controls the vacuum inlet (10); the other valve (5) controls the atmospheric air inlet (3). The electronics actuating the valve alternates the air and vacuum supplied to the pulsator outlet, so that the vacuum and atmospheric air sources are never simultaneously connected to the pulsator outlet (9).

The pulse width modulated drive signal is based on line voltage and compensated for supply frequency. A zero crossing circuit (64) controls internal switching at zero volts to reduce noise. A watchdog circuit (60) resets the computer in the event of latch-up as a result of circuit transients. An over-current shutdown circuit (72) controls the switches that operate the valve. Synchronism is provided with other pulsation controls. Operator input switches and visual displays are multiplexed to the microcontroller.

A pulsating negative pressure with alternating consecutive suction phases (A) and release phases (B) is generated in the teat cup of a milker by way of a vacuum device that comprises a vacuum pump and a pulsator valve, said pulsator valve being controlled via a control signal. The inventive device allows a continuous pressure build-up and/or pressure reduction by repeatedly briefly controlling the pulsator valve in the phase transitions between the suction phases (A) and the release phases (B).
