The device has an elongate or circular base (12). A plurality of cartridge members (16) are formed integrally with the base (12) and each member (16) contains an explosive charge. The base (12) and the cartridge members (16) are formed in one piece from a material selected from plastic or ceramic. The region of the cartridge members (16) integral with the base (12) are closed by a cap (22) which is adapted to fit within a recess (26) formed in the periphery of the closed ends of the cartridge members (16). The cap (22) is adapted to be hit by the detonator mechanism to detonate an explosive charge located in the cartridge member (16). A drive engagement fitting on the base (12) allows the base (12) to be moved progressively so that each cartridge member (16) aligns successively with the detonator mechanism of the gun.
