摘要： The tool can be used when you have to draw a contour on a plate for cutting purposes to make it fit. The tool (figure 1) uses an arm that follows the contour of the wall (A) with help of a wheel (B), a guide (C) which follows the side of the plate that needs to be cut and an arm that facilitates the drawing of the line (D). The contour arm and the drawing arm move in opposite directions whereby the contour of the wall is printed in a negative (mirrored) way on the plate when holding a pencil at the guiding tab (E). Therefore the plate that has to be cut needs to be placed upside down on top of and parallel to the previous plate. Using this method you do not need to preset the contour marker and the width of the plates do not matter.

摘要： An alignment tool 1 for use in marking a surface is disclosed. The tool comprises a handle 6, two pairs of longitudinal arms 2,4 and 3,5 each rotatably mounted in the region of their longitudinal centres to a rotational mechanism provided in or on the handle. The rotational mechanism is arranged such that, in use, movement of one of the pairs in a first rotational direction results in movement of the other pair in the counter direction by substantially the same angle. Each of the arms carries at least one movable marking indicator 50, 53. A user-operable locking mechanism is on or associated with the handle, the locking mechanism being configured selectively to prevent and enable rotation of the arms.

摘要： A tool and method for marking dimensions for cutting a tile include a platform with a front wall defining an x axis, a side wall defining a y axis, with the y axis being perpendicular to the x axis, and a front guideline defining an x1 axis parallel to the x axis. Also included are a plurality of telescopic fingers which are manually extendable, in parallel with the y axis, to releasably retained protracted positions. The platform is configured for superposed alignment with an installed tile adjacent to an area with an obstruction, and also for adjacent alignment with a loose tile to be cut. Distal ends of protracted fingers indicate points on the surface of the loose tile for marking guidemarks demarcating dimensions for cutting the loose tile.

摘要： A tool (10) for marking a cut line (38) on a panel (33), which panel is to be fitted into a gap, on a surface, between a pre-fixed panel (25) and an adjacent edge (31) of the surface (26). The tool (10) comprises a manually-grippable base (11) that defines a marking datum (24), first and second arms (16,17) that are mounted on the base for linear sliding movement parallel to each other, and locking means (19, 20) to secure each arm (16,17) to project from said datum (24) by a preset distance. In use a panel to be marked may be laid between the pre-fixed panel and the adjacent edge, the tool's arms being slid to and locked at a required setting. The tool is then slid along said adjacent edge with the free ends (22,23) of the arms (16, 17) in contact therewith while the marking datum is used to mark a cut line (38) on the panel to be cut.
