The invention relates to a method for shortening the down times occurring during the loading and unloading of various transport vehicles (1) by means of which passengers and/or freight are transported across legs of a route over land or by water or air with the aid of exchangeable compartments which are compatible with the various transport vehicles (1, 13, 14). The invention also relates to a transport system for carrying out said method. A compartment (2b) waiting at the starting point of a transport route is preloaded while the transport vehicle (1) is travelling back to the starting point of said route. After arrival of the transport vehicle (1) the arriving compartment (2a) is unloaded from the transport vehicle (1) and a compartment (2b) to be transported is loaded onto said transport vehicle (1), which then leaves again. At the starting points and destinations of the other legs of the journey the compartments (2, 2a, 2b) are transferred from one transport vehicle to another transport vehicle (1, 13, 14) and transported non-stop from the starting points to the points of destination of each leg of the journey.

A multimodal vehicle includes a ground based vehicle (10) with an attached highcapacity airfoil parachute (30) for deployment. The ground based vehicle (10) includes a drive system for use on either land, water or both. Furthermore, the ground based vehicle (10) is sized and dimensioned for transport of multiple vehicles in a cargo plane. The highcapacity airfoil parachute (30) allows high-altitude deployment of the multimodal vehicle. The risers (31) to the parachute (30) may be adjusted for powered parachute flight rather than free fall flight. The ground based vehicle may include a propeller (26) for powered flight.

The invention relates to a versatile motor vehicle chassis, and more specifically, a scooter chassis which enables a plurality of accessories to be connected thereto in a convenient and versatile manner in order to transform the structure of the vehicle for multiple different uses. The inventive chassis consists of a longitudinal bar comprising a tube for fixing the front stem of the handlebars and the steering device and a pivoted anchor element for connecting a rear structure. The chassis also comprises several supports and cable holders, supports for a high saddle, a footrest platform or body and other accessories.
