    摘要： A plurality of different structural members for reinforcing a plate-like structure, such as a bushing tip plate (T) for intended use in forming fibers from a fluid material supplied to a bushing assembly, are disclosed. Each reinforcing member (10a, 10b) includes a body having a first portion (12) for attachment to the structure and a second portion (20) having a profile with a variable height including at least one apex (A). The body may be integrally formed of a single piece of material, or two or formed from more separate pieces of material bonded or secured together. The body may be T-shaped (312, 320), L-shaped (310), or F-shaped (212, 220) in cross-section. The second portion of the body may have an inverted V-shaped profile (520), an inverted W-shaped profile (620), or an arcuate profile (420). The at least one apex may be located at the midpoint (M) or elsewhere along the length of the body.

    摘要： A multi-screen mixing apparatus for installation in a fiber-forming bushing used in the manufacture of glass fibers. The multi-screen mixer attaches to the walls of the bushing, and includes a first screen having openings therein through which the glass flows and a second screen having openings through which the glass flows longitudinally spaced from the openings in the first screen such that the molten glass must flow in a non-linear path as it passes through the screens. Additional screens can be added to cause additional flow diversion to further mix the molten glass.
