    Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren und die erfindungsgemäße Inspektionsvorrichtung A gestatten eine reproduzierbare Oberflächeninspektion von Seilen beispielsweise von Hängebrücken. So ist mit automatischen Mitteln die Position und die Art von Oberflächendefekten am Seil feststellbar und diese sind wieder auffindbar.
