A method and apparatus are also disclosed.

The problem to be overcome by the present disclosure is to propose a flush toilet designed to reduce the splash of water in a backflow check structure. A flush toilet includes: a bowl; a water discharge port to discharge water into the bowl; a water supply path (3) to supply the water from a water supply source to the water discharge port; and a backflow check structure (4) to check a backflow of the water running through the water supply path (3). The backflow check structure (4) has: a water inlet port (410) communicating with the water discharge port; a water receiving wall (5), through which the water inlet port (410) is provided in a part thereof; and a water outlet port (400) spaced from the water inlet port (410) and the water receiving wall (5) and configured to channel the water supplied from the water supply source toward the water inlet port (410). The water receiving wall (5) is provided, in a part thereof below the water inlet port (410), with a water adhesion reducing portion (9) to reduce the chances of the water adhering to a lower end surface (520) of the water receiving wall (5).

The water pump is water-powered rather than electrically powered and is located proximal to the toilet bowl, and between the toilet bowl and the floor. Water for the flush is drawn from a tank positioned so that the water has a shorter path than if it was taken from external water pipes. The short water path and indirect power transfer reduces energy dissipation and enhances the flush.

A controller 34 operates other devices based on a flow rate calculated at the flow rate calculating unit 33 and the operation status of a flushing instruction button 16. A flushing water supply valve 36 is operated by an instruction from the controller 34. An electrolytic water generating unit 38 generates an electrolytic water for preventing the formation of uroliths inside a drain pipe, and an electrolytic water is fed out from a discharge port when an electrolytic water supply valve 39 is opened.

The piston is attached to a seat face of the housing by being slided on one side in an axial direction to close the communication between the water-in port and the water-out port, and the piston is detached to the seat face of the housing by being slided on the other side in an axial direction to open the communication between the water-in port and the water-out port. The pressure offset means comprises a pressure offset room which is formed at the other side of the piston, and a passage for communicating one side of the piston with the pressure offset room.

Zwischen der oberen Begrenzung des Druckwasserpfropfens und dem Austritt des Frischwassers aus dem Frischwasserversorgungsnetz strömt das Frischwasser frei und trifft unter Druck auf den Druckwasserpfropfen.
