摘要: An air turbine starter (10, 210, 410, 610, 810) includes a housing (30) having a primary inlet (32) and primary outlet (34) to define a primary air flow path (36) from the primary inlet (32) to the primary outlet (34). A turbine (54) that includes a rotor (58) with a plurality of circumferentially spaced blades (60) extends into the primary air flow path (36) and is operably coupled with a drive shaft (66). A gear box (72) that includes a gear train (68) couples to the drive shaft (66). A first bearing assembly (74) is located between the drive shaft (66) and the housing (30). A second bearing assembly (114, 116) rotatably supports a carrier (82, 282, 482, 682) coupled to the gear train. A third bearing assembly (102, 302) is located between the carrier (82, 282, 482, 682) and the housing (30).
