摘要: An autonomous system can detect out-of-distribution (OOD) data in robotic grasping systems, based on evaluating image inputs of the robotic grasping systems. Furthermore, the system makes various decisions based on detecting the OOD data, so as to avoid inefficient or hazardous situations or other negative consequences (e.g., damage to products). For example, the system can determine whether a suction-based gripper is optimal for grasping objects in a given scene, based at least in part on determining whether an image defines OOD data.

摘要: In order to improve real-time false positive reduction, first and second sensor data of a potential object in a common portion of an environment of a motor vehicle are compared (S2). Upon determining that there is a discrepancy in the first and second sensor data in relation to the object, an analysis by synthesis (ABS) is performed on the first sensor data (S3 to S5). If the ABS results in a match, then the first sensor data are validated and can be used for generating a control signal for an autonomous vehicle (S7). If the ABS results in a mismatch, the first sensor data are excluded from generating the control signal (S6). In case of no discrepancy between the first and second sensor data, both are used in generating the control signal (S8). In a variant, the ABS is performed only on first sensor data independent of other sensor data.

摘要: A computer-implemented method of modifying images of an environment for storage or transmission comprises receiving (204; 404; 604, 608) user input defining at least one selected feature of, or within, an environment. An image of a portion of the environment is captured (212; 410; 614) using an image capture device. The method can identify (216; 414; 618, 622) at least one object and/or at least one area in the image based on the at least one selected feature, and modify (218; 416; 624) the image to include or exclude the at least one identified object and/or the at least one identified area. The modified image can be stored or transmitted (220; 418, 420; 626, 628).
